DETAILS

RIDE POSTPONED to Monday, October 9, 2023 The Portland Gear Hub refurbishes and redistributes outdoor gear and bikes to increase equitable access to affordable, reliable gear and lower the barrier of entry for those interested in outdoor recreation and/or sustainable transportation. The Portland Gear Hub's 13 full and part-time staff provide free and low-cost bicycle maintenance classes for youth and adults. We partner with volunteer groups and over 450 individual volunteers who help disassemble bikes to provide an inventory of used parts that allow for bikes to be rebuilt for both retail and programs. The Portland Gear Hub provides hundreds of refurbished bicycles to individuals and families annually. Donations strongly encouraged. All donations will support the Portland Gear Hub and its work in providing free and low cost bikes and outdoor gear to all members of the Maine community. Donations may be made when reserving your ticket on this site or at ride check-in. 25, 34, & 42 mile options with group start from Stonewood Drive parking area. 25 mile ride: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44386997 34 mile ride: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44386802 42 mile ride: https://ridewithgps.com/routes/44386751 This is an unsupported ride, go at your own pace ride with 1 rest stop.
